Steps to Apply Online for SSC MTS or Havaldar Recruitment 2025 Exam
Candidates are supposed to apply online to register and appear for SSC MTS 2025. Given below are the steps that a candidate would need to take for successful online registration for the exam:
The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:
I. SSC One-Time Registration
II. Filling out Online Application for the Examination
Step 1: Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the new website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) i.e. https://ssc.gov.in.
Step 2: Now click on “Apply” appearing on the right side of the homepage. After that click on “Apply” in front of MTS Examination,2025.
Step 3: A new page with url- https://ssc.gov.in/login appears on the screen. Candidates are required to log in with the provided Registration ID, date of birth and password to complete registration for SSC MTS 2025.
Step 4: For Already Registered Candidates- Enter your registration number and password and then enter your basic details like name, parents name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc.
For New Registration- Click on “Register Now” and create a new registration number and password. Afterwards, enter your basic details required.
Step 5: Click on submit button to submit your online registration form for SSC MTS. It is advised that candidates verify their details before submitting the form. All the candidates will be issued a Registration ID for SSC MTS 2025 exam.
Step 6: In the next step, candidates are required to upload photographs and signatures by following the requisites mentioned by the Staff Selection Commission of India.
Photograph – The photograph of a candidate must be clicked in front of white color or light colored background. The size of the photograph must be more than 4 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the photograph must be 100*120 pixels in width and height.
Signature – The signature provided by the candidate must be in black or blue ink on the white sheet. The scanned copy of the signature that needs to be submitted must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the image should be 40*60 pixels in width and height.
Step 7: Login with registered ID and password to complete the Part-II of the application form of SSC MTS 2025.
Step 8: After filling out the application form, candidates must preview the entire application of SSC MTS once to look for any glitches in the form, if any as the application form once submitted cannot be edited again.
Step 9: Click on Final Submit button after previewing the complete online SSC MTS 2025 application form and pay the required application fee.
It is advised that Candidates download and get print copies of the submitted application form of SSC MTS 2025.
Documents Required for SSC MTS Online Registration
For SSC MTS One-Time Registration, the candidate needs the following documents/details:
a) Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
b) Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
c) Aadhaar number. If the Aadhaar number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):
- Voter ID Card
- PAN
- Passport
- Driving License
- School/ College ID
- Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
d) Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
e) Disability Certificate Number if you are a person with benchmark disability.
SSC MTS Recruitment 2025
The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff MTS Examination 2025 to recruit candidates for various non-technical positions in different ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India. Every year lakhs of SSC MTS aspirants after completing their 10th class appear for the exam to get shortlisted for the following posts.

Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar Exam) every year and the selection process is as follows:

- The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1),
- a General Central Service Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories. According to the 7th pay commission, the in-hand SSC MTS salary lies in the range of 18,000/ to 22,000/ per month with a pay band of (Rs. 5200 – 20200) depending of the job post and city allocated.
